I saw an unusual man walking the neighborhood when I was out front, and ran to the backyard to get my kids inside (the sidewalk by our house leads around to the back of our house with just a split-rail fence). I have never been paranoid, but I feel like in this instance, it's the only thing that gives me comfort. Julie, I had the same experience after hearing this news. I don't think I'd stop letting the girls do what they've always done, but I'd be looking out a bit more than usual.
